          Kebebew is currently the Harry A. Oberhelman Jr. and Mark L. Welton Professor and Chief of General Surgery at Stanford University.

          Early life and education

          Electron Kebebew was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on February 26, 1968.[1] Kebebew graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991 with a B.S.

          in chemical engineering. In 1995, he graduated with a medicine degree from the University of California, San Francisco where he also went on to do his general surgery residency and postdoctoral fellowship.
