Buzzy releases like &#;Challengers&#; brought some arthouse allure, while splashy streaming plays like Jake Gyllenhaal&#;s &#;Road House&#; broke records for Prime Video.

Most significantly, perhaps, are the creatives that Valenti and Amazon MGM chief Jennifer Salke are bringing through the door. This year, Valenti helped close first-look deals with Gyllenhaal and Ryan Gosling&#;s production companies and recruited Scott Stuber to relaunch that United Artists label.
