…Confirms Shekarau As Substantive Chairman

ABUJA – Northern leaders under the aegis of League of Northern Democrats (LND) have taken a proactive step to proffer solution to the challenges of insecurity, poverty and disunity facing the region.

Ibrahim Shekarau, former Governor of Kano State, as its substantive chairman, also confirmed Hon. Emmanuel Jime, former honourable Member House of Representatives from Benue State, as its substantive secretary.

LND, in a statement by Umar Ardo, its Convener and Secretary, Hon.

Emmanuel Jime, disclosed that it has started undertaking high-level consultative visits to key stakeholders of the North, such as former presidents, traditional and religious leaders, business leaders, retired officials, both civilian and military, to court their buy-in to the League’s activities.
